FRIED PIE FIASCO
by Violet McCloud
Summertime is fun time in Pacific Cliffs...until someone dies.
The beach walk is humming. Vendors of all kinds providing everything from food and drink to souvenirs and psychic readings to the summer tourists. Entertainers stroll along as well, and the atmosphere is everything a summer visitor could dream of.
Chloe Cotton’s hand pies, sweet and savory both, are selling as fast as she can make them, and her ginger peach pineapple has even been written up in the newspaper as “the flavor of summer 2021.” Her yelp reviews are great, too!
What could possibly go wrong?
Well...someone could buy a pie from Chloe, walk down to the waterline happily munching away, and drop dead. And with Detective Roger Aguirre filling in for a police chief in another town, things look bad for Chloe.
If you like clean, cozy mysteries with a quirky but strong sleuth, sweet pets, delicious food and tons of red herrings, the Pacific Pies Cozy Mysteries series is for you.
