Unfortunately, mine nearly cost my pack their lands, and they will never forgive me. And why would they? They didn’t make me leave, but they didn’t have to. The new trainee is cute but also shy and quiet. No bartender earned good tips by behaving that way. I knew because I’d been a bartender before I started my company. When I stop by in the late afternoon, I offer helpful tips, teach him techniques, and remember how much I enjoyed that job. A bartender with a great repertoire, some fancy moves, and a gift for listening with warmth could make double the tips. Soon, we’re putting on a show for the membership. And the only ways I can get behind the bar when they are open was to get hired or to invest.
